ALTERNATIVE TO PIBOX

The Pibox alternative
built for audio studios.

Pibox is a strong review tool for teams working on audio and video. StudiOS is made for the studio that also looks after the client: the portal, the approval and the invoice, with the files in your own Dropbox or Drive.

Who each one is for

StudiOS is the operating system of a recording, mixing or mastering studio: the project, the client, the files, the link you send, their comments, their approval and the invoice live in one place, and your files stay in your own cloud.
Pibox
Pibox is a collaboration platform for music producers, sound engineers, production managers and A&R teams: shared projects, time-stamped comments on the waveform, a version tree, tasks and a plugin for Pro Tools and Cubase/Nuendo. Files are hosted by Pibox, with storage per plan.

What StudiOS adds

01
Your files, in your cloud
StudiOS works on top of your Dropbox or Google Drive (or StudiOS Cloud). Nothing to upload twice, no archive to migrate.
02
From the link to the invoice
A project carries its client, files, links and invoice. The client approves the master and pays online, with Stripe or PayPal.
03
The studio inside your DAW
StudiOS Commander (VST3/AU) opens the studio like any other plugin: clients, files and magic links without leaving the session.
04
In your client’s language
Everything your client sees (the portal, the links, the emails) speaks Spanish, English, French, German and Basque. Links also go out over WhatsApp or Telegram.
When Pibox is the better choice
If your work is review inside a large team (audio and video, many internal members, your own statuses and metadata) or you mix in Pro Tools, Pibox is the better fit: its AAX plugin brings comments into Pro Tools, and Commander is VST3/AU. StudiOS is the better choice when the work is with clients: they need no account, approve the master and pay the invoice in the same place.

Questions

Do my clients need an account?
No. They open the link or your portal, listen, comment on the waveform and approve without signing up.
Where are my files stored?
In your own Dropbox or Google Drive, or in StudiOS Cloud. StudiOS reads your folders; there is no need to upload everything again.
Can I keep using Pibox while I try StudiOS?
Yes. Connect your storage and start with a new project; your files do not move.
Does StudiOS have a plugin like Pibox?
Yes: StudiOS Commander is a VST3/AU plugin for macOS that opens the whole studio inside the DAW (clients, files, comments and magic links). It is not AAX, so it does not run in Pro Tools; Pibox’s plugin covers Pro Tools and Cubase/Nuendo on Mac and Windows.

Try StudiOS on your next project.

Connect your Dropbox or Google Drive, create the project and send the first link. Your files stay where they are.
