ALTERNATIVE TO DISCO

The DISCO alternative
built for audio studios.

DISCO and StudiOS do different jobs. DISCO manages and pitches a finished catalog; StudiOS runs the studio that makes the record: the project, the client’s feedback and approval, and the invoice.

Who each one is for

StudiOS is the operating system of a recording, mixing or mastering studio: the project, the client, the files, the link you send, their comments, their approval and the invoice live in one place, and your files stay in your own cloud.
DISCO
DISCO is a music management platform for labels, publishers, music supervisors, artists and managers: a catalog with metadata and AI tagging, branded playlists and microsites, listener insight, submission inboxes, mixes and stems per track, and delivery to distributors. DISCO hosts the files.

Side by side

“—” means we could not find it on DISCO’s website or in its documentation. If something has changed, tell us and we will correct it.

What StudiOS adds

01
Your files, in your cloud
StudiOS works on top of your Dropbox or Google Drive (or StudiOS Cloud). Nothing to upload twice, no archive to migrate.
02
From the link to the invoice
A project carries its client, files, links and invoice. The client approves the master and pays online, with Stripe or PayPal.
03
The studio inside your DAW
StudiOS Commander (VST3/AU) opens the studio like any other plugin: clients, files and magic links without leaving the session.
04
In your client’s language
Everything your client sees (the portal, the links, the emails) speaks Spanish, English, French, German and Basque. Links also go out over WhatsApp or Telegram.
When DISCO is the better choice
If you manage a catalog (metadata, sync pitching to supervisors, knowing who listened to each playlist, delivering to distributors), DISCO is built for that and StudiOS is not. StudiOS is the better choice for the studio side: recording, mixing and mastering work with clients, their approvals and the invoices.

Questions

Do my clients need an account?
No. They open the link or your portal, listen, comment on the waveform and approve without signing up.
Where are my files stored?
In your own Dropbox or Google Drive, or in StudiOS Cloud. StudiOS reads your folders; there is no need to upload everything again.
Can I keep using DISCO while I try StudiOS?
Yes. Connect your storage and start with a new project; your files do not move.
Can I use DISCO and StudiOS together?
Yes, they cover different stages: StudiOS while the record is being made and approved, DISCO once the finished masters go into the catalog.

Try StudiOS on your next project.

Connect your Dropbox or Google Drive, create the project and send the first link. Your files stay where they are.
