ALTERNATIVE TO NOTETRACKS

The Notetracks alternative
built for audio studios.

Notetracks is about precise feedback on the track: points and ranges, drawings, voice notes and a light editor. StudiOS is about a studio’s client work: links, approvals, invoices and a portal, with the files in your own Dropbox or Drive.

Who each one is for

StudiOS is the operating system of a recording, mixing or mastering studio: the project, the client, the files, the link you send, their comments, their approval and the invoice live in one place, and your files stay in your own cloud.
Notetracks
Notetracks is audio collaboration software for podcasters, music producers, video editors, educators and voice-over artists: point and range comments on the waveform, drawings, voice notes, transcription (beta), a collaborative editor and video review. Comments export as markers for Pro Tools, Audition, Audacity and Hindenburg. Notetracks hosts the files.

What StudiOS adds

01
Your files, in your cloud
StudiOS works on top of your Dropbox or Google Drive (or StudiOS Cloud). Nothing to upload twice, no archive to migrate.
02
From the link to the invoice
A project carries its client, files, links and invoice. The client approves the master and pays online, with Stripe or PayPal.
03
The studio inside your DAW
StudiOS Commander (VST3/AU) opens the studio like any other plugin: clients, files and magic links without leaving the session.
04
In your client’s language
Everything your client sees (the portal, the links, the emails) speaks Spanish, English, French, German and Basque. Links also go out over WhatsApp or Telegram.
When Notetracks is the better choice
If you need detailed annotation and light editing (especially for podcasts and spoken word, or review that includes video), Notetracks does that well. StudiOS is the better choice when the work is a studio’s client work: sending mixes, collecting approvals and invoicing, with your files in your own cloud.

Questions

Do my clients need an account?
No. They open the link or your portal, listen, comment on the waveform and approve without signing up.
Where are my files stored?
In your own Dropbox or Google Drive, or in StudiOS Cloud. StudiOS reads your folders; there is no need to upload everything again.
Can I keep using Notetracks while I try StudiOS?
Yes. Connect your storage and start with a new project; your files do not move.
Does StudiOS have range comments like Notetracks?
Yes: clients and your team can comment on a point or drag across the waveform to mark a range, and comment lists show the range everywhere.

Try StudiOS on your next project.

Connect your Dropbox or Google Drive, create the project and send the first link. Your files stay where they are.
